 | irishgit (138) 05/26/2008 | I had a dog named Gomez who was named after the Addams Family character.

 | James76255 (17) 03/22/2008 | I've only done this at one time, but it was with an entire litter of cats. Four males and a female lived, and they were named after charecters on The Dukes of Hazzard. Only one female, so by default she was Daisy, but it fit her. A black and white one named Roscoe, two gray tiger striped ones named Bo and Luke, and a big orange one named Boss Hogg.
Come to think of it I have to make this five stars because I've done it more than I thought. I've had a couple of big orange cats since that litter and they've both automatically been named Boss Hogg too. We also had a couple of solid black cats named Willis and Arnold when I was younger.

 | SharonParry (42) 11/21/2006 | No but I give it a 4 because I named my one cat Miren the siren because he was a constant cryer. I remembered a Happy Day's show where Richie got stuck babysitting and when Fonz walked in he found one of the kids crying and he called him this.

 | Molfan (57) 10/29/2006 | we had a dog named Snoopy. after the cartoon strip. there were tons of Snoopy's at that time. so the name got overused. When I think of him now, a different name would have fit him better.

 | BlueOrchid (41) 10/28/2006 | We named both of our dogs after Winnie the Pooh characters...They are colored like the characters too and the other dog likes to jump on people.

 | Suzysway (20) 10/28/2006 | I had never planned on doing it, but I ended up naming my kitten "Neo"... the rest speaks for itself.

 | CastleBee (81) 10/27/2006 | Yes, two I think. One was a dog - a sweet Springer mix - who was dubbed Heath Barkley (after the character played by the then extremely hot Lee Majors on The Big Valley). The other was a cat I called Pyewacket - after a cat from the movie/play Bell, Book and Candle.

 | GenghisTheHun (168) 10/26/2006 | Naming a pet is ok, but how about those people who name their kids after the stars? Those poor children get branded early. I wonder why there aren't more ax murderers, people going postal, and other criminals reacting against being stuck with a terrible moniker.

 | oscargamblesfro (76) 10/26/2006 | In truth never have, but in an apocryphal way, well, "Dr. Zaius" just doesn't work unless you have the 200 year old reactionary orangutan in the orange leather jacket FIRST.

 | trebon1038 (62) 10/26/2006 | Ive not personally but it is a popular thing to do. There is a whole litter of Australian Shepherds out of California (they are older now but most were CH) named after talk show hosts...they had Oprah Winfry, Jerry Springer, Montel Williams, Sally Jesse Raphial, etc.
I have named a couple of mine after top show horses...and do have a little terrier mix (feist maybe) named Ikkus after one of the monsters in the cartoon "Aah, real monsters". My ex named him though I must admit, it fits him!

 | kamylienne (77) 10/26/2006 | Well, not a "favorite" character, but I named a hermit crab "Maximus" after I saw "Gladiator". I bought two hermit crabs, and to the one that pinched me, I named him "Minimus". It became a pattern.
