No, I actually think that's rather disrespectful. I always treat people like how I would want to be treated. That's a solid tenet I live by. A girlfriend doing that would not only be embarrassing, but also humiliating.

I tend to go for guys who aren't surprised by anything I do, so I really can't embarrass them all that much.

Have I embarassed my significant other in public...MANY TIMES! Have I done it on purpose...HELL NO! I'm not mean spirited, so I wouldn't do this intentionally, but sometimes I get carried away and she definitely gets embarassed with me.

To be fair, my ex was already making an ass of himself in front of his family, without any help from me: he was making a big scene about his little 4 or 5-year old cousin throwing dirt on his shirt, making the poor kid cry. I was good at first, I kept my mouth shut and watched TV with his family, and he came in, pissed off that I wouldn't talk to him about it and attempting to somehow justify what he had done, and so I let him have it.
