No, I don't think that would be the right thing to do. Two wrongs don't make a right, but it does get very irritating when you think your neighbor has that much disrespect for you that they would let their animal do their business in your yard.

I never had to. When I lived in an area where there were dogs loose on near by properties, I had a bigger dog who wouldn't let them into my yard.

No, but their little brats left a used banana skin and a sock in our garden. I had the pleasure of throwing it right back where it came from, pity they were not in to catch it.
