ItemImageBy melding punk with reggae, Bad Brains became one of the definitive American hardcore punk groups of the early '80s. Although the group released only a handful of records during its peak, including the legendary cassette-only debut, Bad Brains, they developed a dedicated following, many of whom would later form their own hardcore and alternative bands. Bad Brains are the greatest hardcore punk band ever. They were the biggest influence in my life. They were big influences to minor threat and all the east coast hardcore groups. They did become rastafarians and started playing reggae, do to there religous awakening, but never truely stopped playing hardcore music. There new album build a nation brings them back to there hardcorew roots. The bad brains should be in the rock and roll hall of fame. There are no represenatives from the hardcore genre in the hall of fame and the brains wereb the best so why should they not be in there? Not saying grand master flash should not be in the hall, but no way should he have gotten in before the bad brains.

If they'd quit before recording their crappy fake reggae albums, I'd give 'em 5 stars.

These guys were/are brilliant! Another cutting edge artist that will probably get ignored by half wits who are so very Rock n Roll with there BeeGee's and Prince!

I'm beginning to believe nobody that is worthy should be in there!
