No chance for these one-hit wonders.

I must admit that, even before I read really serious criticism, their best-of compilation is one of my worst purchases of all time.

It was once said that lead singer Stuart Adamson's former band The Skids has "stood up well". I can't say on that, but what is intended to be a really distinctive sound is actualy totally pompous and seems to have no purpose other than blowing the sound of the guitars into noise.

First of all 'MARTO'...Big Country is NOT a country band, they were an early 80's pop/new wave group that had one hit....maybe 2. I don't think they are truly deserving of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, mostly because their music was bland.
