Hurts me to vote him out...I love this guy's music. But he is essentially a blues artist and accordingly belongs more in a blues music HOF (if there isn't already one, there should be).

Good performer, but hell will freeze over if he gets inducted before Stevie Ray.

A great singer and guitarist who has built a strong career out of moving between contemporary bluesman and reverent soul artist. But for the Hall of Fame he is a bit too much of a journeyman and archivist. An examination of inductees will reveal that most were either innovators, or trailblazers who took a form to the masses. Robert Cray has at best been a keeper of the flame. Still, he makes great records.
