He was effective with a broken wrist. He is a stud and the world will see that next season when he starts playing in the NBA. I like that he is a great defenfer and baring injury, that will keephim in the league for many years.

Is it possible to ask the guy to smile every so often? I wanna at least believe he's ENJOYING himself fer Pete's sake.

Ditto on the age thing. I can't believe he's 18.

Can I see a birth certificate on this kid please? It's unbelievable that he's 18. As my brother points out, Oden sort of looks like a 7 foot, 280 pound version of the dad figure on the Lebrons commercial. This is a huge, bearded, grizzled man. And he's 18.

But back to his game. He's not the most active big man that I've ever seen, but his strength and athleticism are top notch. He'll get four blocks just by showing up. He can also drop step and dunk in traffic, something that probably only about 50 people in the world can do.

It's well known that big men develop more slowly in basketball skill than guards. Oden is already passably skilled, and monstrously talented.

He is one and done for sure.
