I had been meaning to write a post about the main difference between this year's Eagles team and the juggernaut teams from 2-3 years ago was their utter dependence on Donovan. This year's team is only good because of Donovan. The defense doesn't make big stops, they can't run the ball at all, and they make idiot mistakes at key points. Without McNabb's ability to make big plays, they would be a lousy team. A few years ago when Donovan went down, they were able to plug in Koy Detmer / Feeley and still blow teams out. That won't happen this year. Jeff Garcia seems to have lost about three steps from his pro bowl years. You can put a fork in the Birds. They're done.
