3.5, but I'll round up to 4. I thought this was a pretty decent cast for what I consider one of the more recent Real World casts. Knowing how the cast was typically stereotyped, I remember every time a Real World season began the thinking was, "Who is the gay one?" The producers tried to throw a curveball at the audience with this one, by having two openly gay males on the cast. Willie, was the gay who was easy to pick out, but then Karamo, the show's first openly gay black male, was portrayed as the surprising gay male. I thought his experiences try to balance being a black male and a gay male, and the pressures those two conflicting roles bring about were pretty interesting.
Landon and MJ were a couple of interesting guys. Both were pretty much jocks and had personalities that played off of each other well. The girls on this show were somewhat boring, although Sarah could be entertaining with her expressive sexuality. At the same time she could be extremely annoying. Melanie and Shavonda are pretty forgetable over time.

Loved this RW - but most importantly loved the whole Bon Jovi theme :-)  Thought Landon was adorable, just wish he wouldn't have drank so damn much!  Where is everyone now???

The real world philadelphia gave me great knowledge, was very entertaining, and most of all, it was a good overall season. The season was educating with all seven strangers coming from different backrounds, two were black, one was anorexic, and two were even gay! This was the first season to ever do this, so right from the start it was unique. Through all their experiences in life they all learned something from eachother and taught something to everyone watching. Who would have ever known seven strangers could be so different from eachother. The season was entertaining right from the start of the theme song, this is the true story... The drama was great between all. Who would have ever thought Sarah would have so many problems, Landon being addictive to alcohol and lets not forget when willie got arrested. So much great drama happened in that huge mansion of philly. Everything came together to make this seasons one of the best. The Fiji trip was so exciting, and remember how they got there?Working for the kids showed determination and character. Landon did deserve that award in the end of everything. My closing of this season will be on a high note, look at these facts. Entertainment, knowledge, great season. How couldn't you love Landon almost killing Mel, or MJ cheating on his girlfriend or even Karamo driving through the ghetto. This season was great and hard to forget.

Real World:Philadelphia was the best real world season because it seemed so original and different from any other season. The season was great.

have you people ever watched another real world season? i mean come on this was the worst season iv ever seen and iv seen over half of them... the storys sucked they fought and made up in every single episode and the people werent even hot i mean if u saw the austin cast special sarah looked great but on her season she didnt and shavonda was only decent looking if her hair was straight

Cronin, You have it all wrong, we want a drunk every episode so that we can laugh at them. And you don't think they are stuck on themselves? THEY ARE ON THE REAL WORLD!! Only certain people sign up (actually try out) for these gigs and they are probably stuck on themselves a LITTLE BIT.

I live in philadelphia so I was really excited for this season. Sadly, I've found it boring. The one thing I like is recognizing places and people from my area.

Real World sucks.

Being from Philly, I was looking forward to this one. But my wife totally detested the whole group (or maybe she just hates Philadelphia because I was born there) and has basically put the show on the no-watch list. Of the few episodes I saw, it was kind of like The Real Gay World.

I hate this show, I feel as if MTV is pushing it's gay agenda on us whether we like it or not. I will not watch the Real world again.

AWESOME!!!!! gotta love landon! yea so he has a bit of a drinking problem, but it seems like hes starting to try to get it under control.. and plus.. hes so flippin' cute!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

finally a more mature group that is not drunk every episoide and not all pretty people stuck on themselves.
