I love the opaque Bernie Taupin lyricism and the mandolin counterpoint to the simple gospel piano and understated vocal performance. A personal favourite.

One of the better known non-singles of this era for John, probably, (after "Honky Cat" and "Rocket Man") the third most well known song off of "Honky Chateau" in '72. A classy, sad ballad with great lyrics.
