To be honest any political change at the moment would be for the good! People in general are afraid of change, even if it could be good!!! This country needs a big change economically and physically with a leader. What we should be doing is praying that the right leader gets the Presidency, cause I don't think this country could survive another BUSH!!!!

This might be the only item on this list thatisn't likely to be a problem. The age of political turmoil that started with the American and French Revolutions ended with the Cold War; Communism is basically dead outside a few university departments. There are a few remaining Totalitarians relics (Burma, North Korea) and tin-pot dictators (Zimbabwe) but most states in the world today are bureaucratic Oligarchies (rule by the rich) with a varying amount of Democracy. The lack of ideological alternatives to Democracy/Oligarchy makes violent revolutions less likely, as does the global decline of birthrates; old people do not make revolutions.
