yeah! there is one in Shreveport, La. at the Riverwalk-- first Saltgrass outside of Texas. First time I had a perfectly cooked medium-rare steak. The cuts are THICK. Side orders were tasty and not skimpy. Fresh french fries--- not frozen!

Service can be a little slow when busy, but they provide a pitcher of tea for your table and the food is worth it.

This is relatively casual compared to a high-end steakhouse, but a step up from Texas Roadhouse in my opinion. Steaks often served with melting garlic butter on them. Steaks are quite good, baked sweet potato has returned to the menu and is excellent. If you prefer your steaks juicy and not over-done (the opposite of Outback who overcook in my experience) give this chain a try when y'all come down.
