Ajax is a technology that allows page components to be updated without reloading the whole page. For example, an Ajax powered ratings interface would allow folks to submit ratings without having to wait for the page to refresh. (Add picture)

This would be beneficial for the site, at least from a speed standpoint. Especially given the high amount of traffic the site is receiving now, it would be helpful if the page didn't need to be refreshed everytime we publish a new review.

Woa, you mean we can all clean up in here at the same time? Refreshing new scrubbing power? I'm game, especially if my dishes will get washed at the same as my reviews are getting done.

I know this is sort of a techie area, but RIA is crying out for some Ajax. It would speed up the site immeasurably, especially in the areas of Weblist publishing, and rating submission.
