If you want a good example of how Ajax is making the Web a better place, try out Netvibes. You can drag and drop stuff all over the screen. It's a breeze to add feeds, and widgets (if those widgets are already in the Netvibes gallery).

In a very cool symbolic act, Netvibes doesn't put a logo on your start page, as it's your start page.

I was able to customize a page with my favorite RIA feeds, news feeds, gmail account, and blogs in no time - very handy if you want a web based start page.
