If I had my way about they'd all be shipped back, only be allowed to have a work Visa and paying taxes on those dollars earned, not be allowed to drop out their kids and then have them become citizens and their parentes DAMN sure wouldnt stay. ANd if it was necessary to use deadly force to keep them over there, it woudl happen!

02/19/2007 | Democrats want the illegal migrants here for the votes; Republicans want them here for agri-business and other industries. Individuals in both parties who are on board with the whole "new world order" thing and the "AU" want them here as well. A complete betrayal of their oaths.
UPDATE: "Cheap labor is essential..." Factor in the costs of higher insurance costs, higher taxes, the costs of incarcerating these illegals, the costs of educating their children, the fact that most of them pay no federal income taxes, etc...and tell me that this is offset by "cheap lettuce".

12/15/2006 | Fact is, illegal immigration would end tomorrow if no jobs were available. And no jobs would be available if there were mandatory jail sentences for employers who knowingly hired illegals, and mandatory fines for anybody who hired them negligently.
I'm not saying I would support such a measure. But if anybody was serious about ending illegal immigration, this is the step that would be taken.

12/14/2006 | The question of immigration is about economics to an extent. Construction and manufacturing firms especially tend to support loose immigration policies during times of high economic growth because they need plenty of labor that goes cheap in the market. Only when economies slow down is that immigration starts slowing down, not only because people stop coming due to a lack of jobs, but that the government starts cracking down on illegals because of the occasional strain that high unemployment puts on local governments.

12/14/2006 | Look at Clifornia for example. It saturated with Mexicans which are willing to work for $2 an hour. Any employer would rather take that than pay a mighty dollar to an American or other legal resident. It's sad but at the same time it makes logic.
