Some people just don't get it- they say that the eventual will happen, but thery are blindsided on how they will fulfill their pursuit of happiness in this movie. It was very riveting and caught me so much that I even cried at the end. the true story that Will Smith acted shows that there will always be light at the end of an obscure tunnel- but I do believe that it touched him too when he read from and acted from the script. It is surprising that there wee no Oscars for this movie (just a nominee), but it should at least get a good recognition. Watch it, you will learn a lot.

I normally don't go for oversympathetic stuff, but I was taken in by this story.  It shows the sacrifices one makes to move up a social class- and how it impacts all the decisions people make.  I believed in these characters from start to finish- something I normally can't say about most movies.  You'll root for the main character and not feel cheated by the director concerning cliche endings or Hollywood shlock- give this one a shot. . .

Will Smith seems to always choose great roles, and this was another one. The story was very compelling, and although it seemed like a plot that could get boring, the acting helped it stay fresh. I'm sure there was some Hollywood manipulation of the true story, but I didn't find anything too unbelievable like a lot of "based on a true story" films. Smith's son did a very good job with his role, and all of the supporting cast was great. Pursuit of Happyness definitely lived up to my expectations for the film.

very good well acted movie. Will Smith is Chris Gardner a real life man who went after the American Dream. he went through some very huge hardships while taking care of his little boy and trying survive. a great story of success. one of those movies that say keep trying you can do it.Got choked up at the end.

Very inspiring, and makes you so thankful for what you have in your own life.

Will Smith outdid himself in this excellent, excellent movie. The best movie I have seen in the past year, maybe since the final installment of LOTR trilogy.

This film accurately displays the American dream. Will Smith and his son are great actors. Overall, an uplifting movie everyone should see!
