Let's get the one quibble out of the way first- Williams didn't care much for working on his fielding. . .other than that, one of the greatest hitters who ever lived. . .

Anybody who doesn't give Ted Williams a 5 star rating here should be shot. He is to the Red Sox what Babe Ruth was to the Yankees. An all time great who is such a legend that he will always be remembered.

A no-brainer even for those with the most rudimentary knowledge of the game or the team. Arguably the greatest position player the Sox ever had.
