Hasn't been there long enough to earn a 5, and seldom plays in the field. When he does, he's not much of a fielder at first, but he's certainly a feared hitter and, to say the least, a clutch player.

Sometimes it seems that the big guy can jack the ball out any time he wants and your can't complain about his performance under pressure. Seems like he must be quite a presence in the clubhouse too, and was a huge factor in the 2004 run.

If Ortiz can continue like he has since coming to Boston than he will move up this list. In his 4 years with the Red Sox he has hit 31, 41, 47, and 54 homeruns. Thats a pretty impressive trend, and if he can stay productive in his 30's he will put up some impressive career numbers with the Red Sox.
