Edwards would be a solid general election candidate. He comes across as very polished in his campaign appearances. The only hinderance would probably be money, as he has agreed to accept public funding for his campaign, which means that he will be limited in the amount of cash he can spend and raise during the general election matchup, which can put him at a significant competitive disadvantage against the Republicans. Many believe that each candidate will need to spend upwards of $250 million in 2008! Personally I think that money could be better spent, but that's for another topic.

Anyways, Edwards has positive attributes as a campaigner, like Huckabee on the Republican side, but I'm not too sure about him serving as President. He's just not experienced enough, especially on the foreign policy issues. But he is a good campaigner and I will say that he gives the Democrats their best shot at taking the White House, moreso than Hillary or Obama.

I want to like him. . .I want to believe him. . .but alarm bells are going off in my head. . .my little voice is whispering: "slick-talking, hustling, glorified redneck lawyer. . ."

He ran a better campaign than Gore, still I'm not sure he has enough experience.

This guy is a mannequin. Forget about it. Given the choice between him, Hillary or Obama, I would seriously look at the Republican candidate.
