disappointing in that they didn't win any of their superbowls but after years of being on the bottom at least in the early 90's they won four straight AFC Championships!!!!

. . .nah, they may be choke-artists, but ask New Orleans Saints fans how 'disappointing' it would be to actually root for a team that made it to 4 Super Bowls. ..

They went to the Super Bowl 4 straight times but they didn't even win ONE!!!!!!!!!!! in those seasons.

By no means the most disappointing. In only one of their trips to the Super Bowl did they have a legitimate chance to win. In the rest they were over-matched.

TRIVIA QUESTION: What's that kickers name? (don't act like you don't know what I'm talking about) UPDATE: EO got it. Norwood. You can still get a shudder out of the faithful at mention of this name. Try it sometime!

After losing to the Giants on Norwood's missed field goal (wide right) in their first of 4 losses (about which TBonya's comment is very accurate) there was a parade held in downtown Buffalo after the team flew back into town, I think on Tuesday. Kelly, Reed, Cornelius Bennett, Marv Levy all spoke to thank the crowd for their faithfulness and support throughout the season and playoffs, while Scott Norwood (without whose clutch kicks all season the Bills would not have made the playoffs) hung back, waiting for it to be over. After a speaker had finished, there was a delay, about a minute. A chant started, somewhere in the middle, We want Scott. We want Scott, which became so loud it was deafening. Norwood sheepishly, at the urging of his teammates stepped to the microphone but he didn't speak for three minutes, so loud and thunderous was the standing ovation Buffalo gave to their kicker. I don't remember what he said but I was never so proud to be a Bills' fan.

If in terms of Superbowls, the Buffalo Bills of the early 1990s were a disappointment. A team with such great players on both sides of the football, the early 1990s Bills ought to have won one Super Bowl during their hey day. But to say they were a disappointing team altogether may be a little unfair because they did make it to the Super Bowl four years in a row and had one of the greatest winning percentages in the early 1990s. Yet, the Bills teams of the the early 1990s will always be remembered for their Super Bowl failures.
