A disaster if I ever heard one.
Pretty hard to have an offensive line if you don't permit Left Tackles or Left Guards.

Toss up on this one. I think they might have a better season but WHY they're having such a good season would be catch.

He would take a losing football team, and making them into an even more losing football team.
Disney would make a movie out of it, and Mark Wahlberg, would play one of the football players, trying out for the team.
It would be the feel good movie of the year.

I suppose he couldn't do any worse than the last dozen or so head coaches they have had. I don't know about football, but Bush was a pretty good rugby player. Maybe he could pass along some tackling skills if nothing else.

(at a press conference) Reporter: Coach, you had the opposition's star player detained before this game. Why did you do this and do you think it impacted the game? Bush: Well, he terrorfied us last year and I suspected him of terroristaism, so he was detained for the game this week. We won, so I think it was a good move...

Bush might have done well in sports, but he didn't exactly excel either in athletics in school. Bush actually wasn't a tackling dummy in school: he was a cheerleader at Andover and Yale! I don't know who'd want to be coach of the Arizona Cardinals. Nobody has ever coached that team for more than 6 years at a time; most have left after 2 or 3 years because management and ownership don't give the team a chance to retain quality staff. The pattern seems to be that they get one or two big-time players that they sign for large contracts, and then they go cheap on the offensive and defensive lines. You can't have a winner in football if you don't have players to protect your star players, it's that simple. They need to get more balanced on both sides of the ball to consistently win. Maybe Bush will be available to lead the Cardinals in 2009? Can a former cheerleader lead them to the promised land? Maybe he'll do better in football than in politics. Bush's personal history seems to indicate that the answer will be no. After all, Bush became a cheerleader in the beginning because he wasn't good at football!

As I believe sports are a glorified, slightly more civilized form of war (and a way for guys - and some women - to utilize excess testosterone) then I think he missed his calling by not going into sports or something sports related in the first place. He certainly seems to have the intellect for say a tackling dummy.

Finally, something he can't mess up! Hardest gig in the universe. This job requires divine assistance or a far more developed alien culture.

He'll blame the football team's losses on the New York Media. . .
