Very awesome lizard, but definately NOT for a beginner. Do your research first.

NOT a first time pet!!! Really cool pet, but extremely hard to take care of. The thing to remember about these guys is that their average lifespan is about 3-5 years...so essentially your paying about $120 for an animal that will live as long as a hamster, and thats only if you don't kill him first. The heat has to be just right, the humidity has to be just right, hell, even the inclosure has to be just right. If you do want one or two or even three, make sure that youonly have one male. I know they look the "coolest" but they WILL fight. Especially over a female. Again, these are amazing animals, they are just extremely difficult to take care of.
