Some are, I'll give you that. But some are mean-spirited, ugly, fur shedding, hairball puking vermin.

There isn't anybody that loves cats any more than I do, but I can say that there are some cats that are far from beautiful. In fact, there are some breeds that are downright ugly. But if their owners love them, who cares? Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

....just ask them.

Cats also come in many different colors.

Although I think cats would make great ingredients in certain meat-based dishes, there is no denying their elegance and grace as animals. . .combine that with the torture they give their prey they are somewhat interesting (ever see a cat torture its catch before death?)

They think they do but i haven't meet one with it yet.

I've had cats with thrill issues, delusions of grandeur, and borderline personality disorders, but I've never had a cat with an ounce of class...

I agree about the beautiful and elegant part. They're classy enough to groom man's best friend.

My cat, may he rest in eace, had class. In his own classy way, he told other cats to leave his territory a.k.a. he beat the f*** out of them!

Well, I have to say there's a reason why we have words like "glamourpuss" and "sex kitten." There's a reason why classy jeweler Cartier chose to be associated with a leopard (or panther?) rather than a dingo, coyote, or wolf. And there's a reason why cats are the unofficial mascot of Oxford and Cambridge universities--where every college has its special cat. I'm sure those robed academics thought their feliness looked a heckuva lot cleverer than the dog panting in the corner. "Did I get it right? Did I get it right? Did I? Did I? Did I?" (OK, it's because cats were needed to hunt mice back in the Dark Ages!)
Cats always have a way of looking sleek, sexy, sinuous, and a tad sophisticated ("I'm too good for you") even when they're only Garfields longing for the next dish of Whiskas tuna.
Just so long as you don't have to clean up the hacked up fur ball.

...I would call it an attitude rather than class, but I have to agree that they are elegant and somewhat beautiful.

Not quite . . .

Oh yes, so classy when you look in your new running shoes to find a big, steaming, pile of cat shit. Yea, I like cats, but I'm a dog person. I'm biased.

The definition of the above points being relative, I have known many cases of very regal, classy dogs. One only has to tune into the Westminster dog show to see all the beauty, elegance and grace you would ever find in any animal. I have two corgis who probably have distant relatives ripping around Buckingham Palace as I type this. And, based on their attitudes, I somehow believe they are well aware of this. (O; Dogs can definately be in possesion of all of the above traits. They just tend to have a more well developed sense of humor about them.

Cats simply have a regal air about them and move with a fluidity and grace that few dogs could even begin to muster. That's it: Cats are royalty and know it....dogs are peasants and show it! Ha! Okay, let me duck before I get blasted by the dog lovers. :-)
