03/27/2006 | It comes with adware and spyware..No way around it. They say you can uncheck the boxes when you download it and it wont have any. OK!!! If you believe that go for it. But when your computer is running slow and freezing up on you, and some scumbag is charging stuff to your credit card to support his drug habbit dont say you werent warned!! Try Limewire it is totally adware and spyware free! I suggest puchasing the Pro version if you like the free version so we can continue to have such a wonderfull service without the adware/spyware.

01/20/2005 | Ares galaxy is a NEAR flawless site. It gives you amazingly quick downloads on popular files, and is virtually idiot proof. There is a small flaw in the program though and that is the media player it provides. Constantly skipping, however, this is easily fixed if you just play the files using realplayer or another alternative instead. That said, Ares Galaxy is light years ahead of its competition (Imesh, Kazaa, Limewire) and is highly recommended for hassle free downloads. Ares galaxy comes bundled with spyware and adware but to not install it, just uncheck all the installation boxes except the ares galaxy necessary files box.

09/26/2004 |  Ares Galaxy is a magical place where files actually download and successfully, connecting to the server and downloading is rapid, file organization is as simple as a mouse click, hassles are non-existent and satisfied smiles are plentiful, and everything is pretty with a clean attractive interface that's so simple to use that there will never be a Complete Idiot's Guide to Using Ares Galaxy published because it is already idiot proof. With my sluggish dial-up connection, the speed of searching is so impressively immediate (after one second Ill have a pile of results to choose from) that I feel like I have broadband. It has a wide database that never fails to find the file Im looking for (for those who have complained about limited selection, it really depends on when you go on. Obviously during the most popular hours the selection will be the highest). Everything is automatic, so I just have to select the file I want to download, and everything else is taken care of (If a user is no longer available, Ares finds another user. Even when there is a user, it always searches for more users to make it go even faster! For whatever reason I should get disconnected from the internet, Ares will try to reconnect! And if you dont want it to do this, you can adjust the settings to your preferences in the controls panel easily). Simply said, Ares Galaxy is a heavenly music site that is flawless and impeccable.
