Good hitter, but below average defense, though not nearly as bad as some others on the list. Lansford was weird in that he made the hard plays- speared the rockets to third, but messed up the easy plays. Interesting trivia- Lansford is actually a descendant of Sir Francis Drake, who, although he's been dead for around 400 years, would have probably been a better fielder than his descendant.
