09/28/2005 | The ultimate inspiration for this list. If any thing it is dance or something you would expect to see in an old Hollywood musical. The little head bobs and the correographed kicks, give me a break. Obviously they all have to look the same so I am sure thats part of the judging. Now if they all had to swimm lengths together until one of them tapped out then you have a sport but as it is, its dancing in the pool.

08/29/2004 | Well yes, synchronized swimming is something like water dancing, but it is actually quite difficult to perform. As an athlete in this sport, you need great coordination, balance, timing, strength and stamina, all of which take a great amount of time and devotion to develop and master. I'm not saying that any of this makes the sport more interesting, and like a dog show, it's all about the looks and tricks in this sport.
