Five or six years ago, I would have given them five stars, as Reeboks tended to be wider that most other major shoe brands, and the average Reebok was cheaper than the average Nike. But about two or three years ago, I got a pair of Reebok basketball shoes that may have been the worst pair of althletic shoes that I have ever (briefly) owned. They were comfortable enough when I tried them on in the first place, so they seemed like they should be good shoes, and I'd owned several pairs of Reebok basketball shoes over the years. I played a few pickup games one night, and while playing I noticed that they were rubbing a bit around the ankles. OK, new shoes, just needed to be broken in a little, right? Well I guess the adrenaline rush of the game kept me from noticing how bad it really was. When I took my shoes off, the skin had been completely rubbed off of the back of both ankles, and my socks were a bloody mess. I took a real close look at the design of the shoe, and noticed that at the back of the ankle, the shoe actually curved inward. The shoes had rubbed so bad that I couldn't walk without pain for several days. I haven't even considered buying a pair of Reeboks since.
