His time in the limelight was short, but his decades after were productive and dignified. He never lost his gifts as a vocalist and while he did participate in most of the nostalgia based The Mammas and The Pappas reunions, he also continued to tour as a solo artists and make fine reverent folk pop both in his native Canada and abroad.

I know the Mamas and the Papas and some of their songs, but I never would have been able to identify any members of the band. I didn't know who this guy was.
