I don't know, sometimes I think I was a better listener when I was a kid.

The ability to listen can come with maturity but, it can also be inborn...like a talent. I have often noticed a strong correlation between intelligence and people with good listening skills. I guess I should be a little concerned that I tend to drift off more often than I should.

Actually the older I get the worse I am at listening to others....I am not sure if that is bad or not...but most of the time I just don't care what they have to say, especially when it comes to their usual babbling about politics...ugh...

...and learn from the others as you listen!

A true sign of maturity,even in the young.Unfortunately,many "grown-ups" are still only listening to their own voice.

I've known to do this for quite a while now. I do this better than most people and I don't think my age has anything to do with it.

I'm not sure about this one. I know quite a few old timers that just will not give you a word in edgewise. I think this is just a personality trait, but there are exceptions to the rule.

this was would for sure show real maturity. Sadly a lotof adults still cannot master this. I could be better at it myself.Being a good listener is one of the better qualities you can have.

This is very true, you can learn a lot by listening and keeping quite for a while.
