I don't know what it is, but I love Steve Carell. I think he reminds me of the kind of comedian I would be.

Gee what ever happened to that guy. He was great on the Daily Show and then one day he was gone. I hope he's been able to find work somewhere.

A graduate of Second City in Chicago. My favorite character from the Daily Show days was when he did Produce Pete, the canonical local-news vegetable segment guy.

Played a wide range of characters, and embodied all of them hilariously. Was on the show so often that I wonder if Comedy Central promoted him as much as they should -- if they had, would he have gone on to do all the movies? Maybe the only correspondent as funny and talented as Colbert (?).

His solo work was very good.. but the best bits by far, in my opinion, were when he and Stephen Colbert would do their take on the old SNL "Point/Counterpoint" skits. They would start off with the gravitas of serious journalists and end up having childish sandbox screaming matches that revealed their true colors. Seriously funny.
