As others have said, this game began with a bang but ended with a whimper. Commentator Phil Simms looked pretty bad when he denied the obvious in such a blatant manner at the outset, stating that weather wouldn't affect the play. That was a particularly inane thing to say: the rain kept everyone from holding on to the ball. I don't think I've seen ever seen a football game with two pairs of back-to-back plays which involved fumble turnovers. Manning was solid but not the best we've come to expect from him, and Grossman, despite a couple moments of brilliance, looked completely incompetent -- two interceptions in a row?! In my view, the highlight was Prince's halftime show, although even there he didn't play the best songs he could have. Overall, pretty disappointing.

The game started out very well. Devin Hester's opening kickoff return for a touchdown set the tone for a great 1st quarter. However, after the first drive in the second half it seemed that the Bears had no chance to win. Despite the tight score it was obvious that the Bears didn't have what it took to stop the Colts offense. Rex Grossman's mistakes at quarterback sealed the deal in the 4th quarter, and the game seemed to drag on. It wasn't a terrible game, but a little bit more suspense or a more dominating performance by the Colts would have been more entertaining to watch.

Fumbles everywhere! There were some big plays but the mistakes were the defining characteristic in this one. I'm trying my hardest to make Rex Grossman the goat here. Chicago needs a good goat here and there.

Entertaining, but extraordinarily sloppy. The opening kickoff return was amazing.
