Budinger is a good player, but hasn't developed into the star that people thought he would. I've heard people argue in his defense that the coaching issues at Arizona since he has been a Wildcat have likely hindered his progress. That may be true, but whatever the reason, I don't see him becoming a star player. He will probably still get a shot in the NBA because of his height, athleticism, and jumper, however he would have been a lot higher of a pick if he had come out of college after his freshman year.

I think the idea of Chase Budinger is better than he is as a player. He's an ultra athletic, ultra coordinated, fairly skilled white guy. You can see how athletically gifted he is just by watching him run the floor. But the times that I've watched zona, Budinger gets lost way too often. Maybe he's passive or something.
