He did an excellent job, but I'm trying to put Bush at the top where I think he belongs.

Could it be that this is the very same Rudy Giuliani that Republicans have accused of being too liberal in the past? My how things change when a liberal Republican presence serves GOP purposes.

Another knock down speech! Rudy truly commands the stage. I've seen him in person and am more impressed every time I hear him. He stated the case in the first phase of his speech; Bush is a strong leader and security is the defining issue of this election. He then showed how Kerry was indecisive and weak on defense. He showed the human side of Bush that all the Bush-Bashing liars never actually take the time to learn about. How Bush spent hours with the 9-11 families consoling each and every one of them. How he insisted, against the advice of his secret service, on visiting ground zero. (For all of you liberals so interested in truth I suggest YOU watch the movie DC-911. But the fat liar Michael Moore didn't slop his gravy laden fingers all over the editing of the real history so you might actually learn something.) Rudy then hammered home the theme of his speech- to be commander in chief you need to be a strong leader. Bush exhibits leadership. Leadership is doing what is right even when the polls suggest a n uneasiness with your decisions. Leadership is sticking to your principles when things are tough. Leadership is what we have in George W. Bush! Great Job Rudy!

All things considered, the speech was pretty good. He should've tried to focus on some other aspects then focus so much on September 11th, but considering what his former job was, that's to be expected. Other than that the speech was very intrestng and both entertaining and factual.

it was a decent speech by a man i truly admire, but if he wants to be president he is going to be much more effective in delivering the goods.

I personally have a high opinion of Giuliani as a public administrator, but his convention speech left much to be desired. If anything, it shows that Giuliani probably is planning on making a run for president in 2008. Too much focus on 9/11 as a partisan tool, which I find too much in low taste. Some would say it's smart to use this imagery, but it can very well boomerang. Too much blind cheerleading for GWB, wasn't very impressed with his foreign policy views either.

Thank God George Bush is President? Is that really what you said when people were jumping out of the WTC???

Giuliani's speech was astounding. On the one side, it brought back, with touch and class, the memories of the terrible attacks our enemies unleashed against us on September 11, 2001. On the other hand, the extremely humorous jokes about John Kerry were a comedic highlight. Overall, the speech was well-done and highly optimistic. Line of the speech: Leaders have to be optimists!

The speech last night was fantastic. I enjoyed watching Rudy shred John Kerry and getting in a few laughs at the same time. Wonderful speech all around.

Great speech, delivered with great skill, fun to listen to. He had a great time Monday night. Red meat for that audience.

Would have been a great running mate for Bush if Cheney had decided to pull out. Rudy is great, and I hope he keeps himself in the political limelight on a national level.
