I like how he talked about doing so much for so many... I hope they release the specific plans soon.

I was cheering for this guy so loudly in my bedroom, I woke up the neighbors. Bush addressed the issues of concern and also made fun of his democratic rival. It was a great speech.

If you look at the news and the statistics, the world has become much more dangerous since Bush has been in power. If you listen to Bush and his fans, you are supposed to believe the opposite!! I believe the news and the statistics

Bush is a blow hard rich kid (and not very bright at that). Thinks he is a bad ass, look at the way he walks. All he is interested in is more power and money...

I wish there were something to add to the comments of kirk, but he's where it's at. Well said. UPDATE: Canadasucks, such moral outrage. How do we sleep at night? In greater safety than with Clinton (or Kerry) in charge. Louie, jgls, vfern and TVFAN: helpful (and correct) as usual. TriSec: how is the new medication working out? And Lance: touch 'em all on your way around the bases.

Chicken-Hawk wimp speech. Loved the scared look on his face when the protesters made noise (Regan would have known what to do.) You people are willing to have soldiers killed in Iraq for this guy's holy war? The speech was okay considering he has wrecked two political futures (Powell and Blair) has insulted the U.N. (GO AWAY! to PLEASE HELP US!) and has put this nation at greater risk by alienating more contries than businesses he has ruined. Folks, you can fly as many flags as you want, put as many bumper stickers on your car, and call everyone else unpatriotic if you want- kids are dying in Iraq for a rich man's war with nothing to do with terrorism. How do you sleep at night?

Sounds like he is passing off communism as conservatism. He wants to create Economic Zones, a term for commie run slave centers, were the workers pay the taxes and the businesses get a free ride. He wants health clinics in every county for the poor, meaning government state-run, third-rate health care. He wants to reform tort law, where he will protect corrupt industries, ie, the pill-pushers, (pharmaceutical companies) from being held responsible for their known dangerous products. To conclude, Bush wants some Americans (the poor huddled masses) to be placed in zones, only to get state health care, and be the helpless victims to poisonous pills with out the right to sue for defective products. Under Bush's plan everyone will benefit, expect the people.

I loved his speech last night! He is truly a great man and strong leader. We need someone of his character in the White House during tough times like these. 4 more years! PS: I totally agree with what Lance said.

Dubya laid out the plan and delivered the message perfectly. Liberals project their small mindedness onto the Bush agenda, eschewing the big picture of his vision for myopic ephemeral difficulties. Listen to his words and you will hear the genius of his leadership. We continue the march of freedom to combat terrorism. We want to create an ownership society where people have control of their own lives. This is an epochal shift in the political landscape and those averse to change will go down fighting as if their religion depended on it. But be sure VFern couldn't be any more correct when she notes that the Democratic Party is now nothing more than a conglomeration of special interests which their nominee needs to appease. The Democratic Party is now the party of ONLY the radical liberal agenda- a religion that defends freedom by fabricating rights. These rights subsequently conflict and the Democratic nominee of their party is left all over the charts attempting to appease each interest. Dubya is the leader of the party of ideas, discourse and ideals. He leads by the principles that founded our country. That we are endowed by our Creator with certain rights and obligations. This obligation to pre-existing axioms leads him to defend freedom and allows the party to have an honest discussion on what defines liberty in a free society. George W. Bush is a man who means what he says and says what he means. He's guided by a vision that eludes liberals; they refuse to listen at their own loss. I believe history however will look very kindly on him. The economy has turned around from the recession he was handed to one that has created over 1.7 million new jobs in the last year! The GNP is over 4% for the year. Unemployment is down to 5.4% lower that the average in the 70's, 80's and 90's. In Afghanastan woman are no longer being butchered and they are holding free elections this coming year. Iraq, yes a work in progress, is no longer being controlled by a menacing madman and will be holding free elections. Lybia has dismantled it's WMD program. Pakistan is now an ally in the War On Terror. George W. Bush is boldly leading this country. Conversly John Kerry still can't defend himself because he doesn't know who he is. In November the American people will speak at the polls and I am confident that Dubya will resoundingly be reelected to the chagrin of all those who still don't hear him.

A truly awe-inspiring speech, possibly one of his best. With just the right amount of humor for balance, Bush's speech touched on such issues as education, taxes, and housing--many in ways that even most liberals can't argue with. Also, national defense and the fight against evil was discussed with great reverance and determination. Line of the speech: Freedom is on the march!

i am so proud to have this honorable and decent man as my president. this was not the best speech i have heard him give, but the last ten minutes really touched my heart. his words and the genuine emotion he displayed was something i did not expect from any polititian, especially from the president of the united states.

He gets my vote for doing an admireable job after encountering one of the most trying first-term presidencies of any president in history. He provided more than adequate leadership and stood for his principles and beliefs. This to me is one of his most admireable traits as a politician. You know where Bush stands whether you like him or not. Do I agree with him about everything? Certainly not. Has he made mistakes? Definitely. It would be impossible for any president not to given the trying circumstances Bush has encountered during his first four years. Given my choices, however, the choice is easy. Bush for four more years.
