 | fitman (36) 05/03/2008 | Hillary is a center/right neo-liberal (read 'liberal republican') like her husband Bill, but she's all we have between us and four more years of outright fascism. So, I'm holding my nose and voting Clinton/Obama in the general election. Hope everyone has enough sense to join me, but an electoral majority will do.
UPDATE:
Hillary is a shrill harpie who's unfortunately the most qualified of the three viable candidates.

 | jgls (12) 05/03/2008 | hillary is a shrill harpie who seems to believe that 8 years of being a meddling first lady and serving slightly more than a term in the u.s. senate provides her with enough experience to become president of the most powerful nation on earth. hillary lacks her huband's passion, experience, confidence and charisma. she is a horrible candidate and would make an even worse president.

 | Strijdom (3) 02/10/2008 | Hillary knows what she's doing and will do what's best for this country. The media has tried to paint her as a radical, but anyone with a search engine will find out what she really stands for and what she's really done.

 | James76255 (17) 02/10/2008 | Don't you find it funny that it's usually the people who want everything federally mandated that scream about fascism? I do.
At least Hillary Clinton actually goes into some kind of explanation about what she wants to do. I don't agree with her on most of it, but she does do more than ride on pure emotion and empty rhetoric. Don't get me wrong, she does plenty of that too, but there is more to what she says than just stirring people up about nothing even if she isn't as good at saying nothing as Obama.
I don't want her to win, but I could deal with her a lot easier than I could the other Democratic option.

 | abichara (60) 10/31/2007 | It wouldn't be a wise move for the Democrats to nominate Hillary Clinton for President. She brings far too much baggage to the table. The question is do we want to go back to the political dramas of the 1990's? Hillary has started out as the initial frontrunner, but her support seems to be very shallow. The media seems very interested in her candidacy, along with some elements of the donor base, but the grassroots isn't exactly fired up to get behind Hillary. Most likely, it's because she's failing to run a particularly inspired campaign. Many of her stands are standard boilerplate material and her strategic moves are so planned and controlled that they turn off a lot of voters. In other words, she's sitting on her lead when she should be running hard. Watch for the Democratic primary race to start heating up over the next few months, espeically if Hillary continues to fail to capture the public imagination. Obama is the guy to watch.
UPDATE: As primary season approaches, I expect her to begin struggling a bit. Her competition for the nomination have been holding their fire, but expect especially Obama and Edwards to start hitting hard on questions about her honesty, integrity, and sincerity. Hillary is a pro and won't take it sitting down, but it will be interesting to watch if whether any of mud sticks on her thus far well oiled campaign machine. If it does, expect Obama to be the immediate beneficiary.

 | LadyJesusFan777 (34) 09/14/2007 | I don't necessarily agree with everything that she presents, but I will
tell you this: there is nothing wrong with the idea of having a woman
president.
To the person who decided to quote me: if you're going to quote
someone, quote everything they say. Changes the whole meaning
when you take a section. And you have no idea who I'm going to
vote for, if I even vote at all.

 | louiethe20th (74) 09/13/2007 | I can just see our Constitution trampled upon and International Law taking precedence, with
Hillary as President and Bill Clinton as special U.N. envoy.
If the latest fundraising scandal was with a Republican it would be all over the place, but as usual it is being swept under the rug!!!
It will be Fred vs. Hillary in November of 2008.

 | Donovan (130) 08/15/2007 | Just don't trust her. She is running on her husbands name and fame. Her message switches to what is popular at the moment. If she is elected the nation will suffer even more than it is now.

 | GenghisTheHun (168) 02/28/2007 | Today, I really can't see how she can lose. I recognize that she has negatives in the 40's and that usually makes a candidate dog meat. However, George W. Bush has driven a stake through the heart of the GOP with his "surge." That guarantees that the war will still be going in November, 2008, and that means a Republican defeat, and a bad defeat, at that.
Is anyone really in favor of the War in Iraq except some morons in Washington? The rank and file surely isn't in favor of the war any more.

 | CanadaSucks (45) 02/24/2007 | Very unlikeable. . .I still maintain that she's un-electable outside of the Northeast corridor. . .and if the dems are smart (which they haven't been during the last two prez. elections) they will use her as a smokescreen until the real candidate should emerge. . .

 | EschewObfuscation (61) 02/24/2007 | Look, let's face it, Pollyanna doesn't get elected President (neither does Opie Taylor). And I could see myself voting, in a presidential election, for a strong woman who 1). appeared to have a clue what she was getting into, 2). has a visible policy track record to predict her platform and 3). I felt reasonably assured she respected the office and the importance of its role in appointing judges and conducting foreign policy. You all call Bush a cowboy, what is Hillary's track record in confrontational situations? Aren't they threatening their own party with, "if you defect to the Obama camp, we will remember . . ." Republicans and conservatives are not anti-woman, not afraid to entrust power to a female whom they feel is competent and well advised. As George Will aptly says, "conservatives kneel at the feet of Margaret Thatcher. " This woman, riding a hollow wave of favorable press handling and soft coverage, is no Margaret thatcher.

 | doobiesNhof (21) 02/22/2007 | She may very well be the next president. I can tell you one thing: it won't be a Republican!! So what if she is a woman!! Bring her on if she can do a good job. The only baggage she may bring with her is when she moves back into the White House.
