Hakim Warrick is a graduate of this school. This was my favorite rivalry for high school hoops. They always had a packed house, and their coach at the time, Mike Mersky, always said nice stuff about me in the papers.

I give Friends Central Five Stars. I must say I am impressed with the school. Located on City Line avenue outside of Philadelphia, FCS is a school located in an affluent neighborhood. It was reflected in the student body when I was in school and we went there for games. The school itself has come along quite nicely since then. I had a chance to go to a Basketbal game there and the campus is very impressive, with new buildings and a gym that looks like a Div-3 Liberal Arts College gymnasium. The school also has some impressive new building. The student body also looked much more diverse than what I had known it to be. It's one of the larger Quaker schools in the area and they do well in Friends School League competition. Checking out the school on wikipedia.com you have to be impressed as well. The list of alumni is quite distinguished. The school is rated #13 among area Private Schools which is very good, and you'd think it might have been even higher.
