Too many football fans and too great of weather to not have a team. Plus now that a new stadium has been approved to be built it would be stupid to not have a team especially when the jags don't have shit for loyal fans that go to games.

This city is way too big not to have an NFL team. It really needs one.

It's never made any sense to me that this market doesn't have a team. I know there's some strange history, but it seems like making money here would be a no brainer.

It's frankly weird that the second largest city doesn't have a team for the country's most popular sport, regardless of what happened in the past.

Why? Picky ass fans already ran off two franchises.

If there was somebody who thought they could make money with an NFL team in LA, they would go buy a team and move them there. LA lost two teams, and my sense is that most people in LA don't care.

NFL Stay out! Not welcome! Scram! Reasons the NFL Returning to Los Angeles is a Crappy Idea: 1. Extortionist owners who expect to have their teams subsidized with taxpayer money in the form(s) of guaranteed sellouts and new or remodeled stadiums. 2. Trailer trash convention in town every time the local team has a home game against the Raiders 3. (And this is the big one) With a local team the television stations are required to televise thier contests rather than the best game that is being played in the league on that particular day So, in summary, TAGLIABUE AND CO. GO ELSEWHERE!

Whats true in baseball is true in football, if you build they will come. Stadium that is, most of the ones in the area are old compared to many now used in the NFL. If a new one is built or a drastic remodel is done L.A. should get a team fairly soon. Possibly the Cardinals or maybe the Saints.

They are a top 5 market. Why on Earth should they not have a team?

They've had a number of them in the past and failed to keep any of them. Why give them any more chances? Give them a soccer team and shut up!

But most people in LA are indifferent to the NFL. They don't care that they don't have a team. Besides, the Chargers are just down I-5, and no home team means no silly blackout rules (i.e., no doubleheader when the home is is at home).
Mad Hatter 01/10/2005
They defintely need a team. Make it a new Franchise instead of sending an already existing team. Don't need another Oakland/Los Angeles Raiders type issue.

I have one question. Why does Las Vegas have about the same rating as L.A.? It doesn't make sense.
LanceRoxas 10/20/2004
This is a given! It's absolutely insane that the secong biggest TV market in America is without a team.
SpisterMooner 10/20/2004
The most obvious choice.
