02/25/2007 | Because it shows our weaknesses, and I don't think I'm the only one who doesn't like to show vulnerabilities. It makes sense to not want to let people know what hurts you, so that they can't use it against you. I've become much more open and empathetic in the past few years, but I still prefer to lick my wounds in private.
