 | BlueOrchid (41) 07/12/2008 | We have been asked this SO many times. Then is the perfect time to reply: "When are your children going to have children?"

 | Molfan (57) 02/28/2007 | rude, some people think that they are only trying to make conversation. but this is nosey and none of their business. sometimes it can even be hurtful if they are trying with no success. and for others who may not want children and that is their business. i feel sympathy especially for the women who have decided they do not wish to have children, they are sometimes treated like they are awful. i give this a 3.5 because although rude to ask i think quite a few people just think they are making small talk and do not seem to get how rude and none of their business this is.

 | Enkidu (37) 02/27/2007 | Truly awful and intrusive question. I don't think I've ever asked it
(shudder). Here's one that's even worse: "why on earth did
you two have kids anyway?"

 | Randyman (103) 02/27/2007 | This can be a pretty rude question. There are a number of reasons a person might not want to discuss this, and some of the answers might be a little hurtful or personal.

 | CastleBee (81) 02/27/2007 | I would never do this in a million years. For one thing, it's really intrusive. For another - I couldn't care less when or even if it happens. Which is not to say I think it's a bad idea - it's just that when it comes to other people's family planning issues - it's really none of my business.
