good  smooth taste. not to much of a kick from the menth ol or nictotine. almost as good as newports but i d ont like menthols that much but i will smoke them w hen they are there.

for marlboro they are good. but compared to camel turkish royals lets say, or even another menthol cigarette like salem, they are just good for holding you over till you can get a new pack

I love these cancer sticks. I've been smoking them for about 6 months now and I can truly say after trying other brands that this is my brand. I love the minty taste and I love the color of the box ;) It doesn't compare to any other kinds. I hope they keep it on the market for a long, long time because I'll be devestated if it doesn't!

See, I don't agree Smooths the first time I tried one I'm not going to lie I loved them to death. Then at a show one night I was bummin with no cigs, so I asked my friend for one and it was a Camel Frost, I tried it and I don't know if it was because I was high or not but the very first one tasted like an icecream sandwich, after awhile they got dull and left bad aftertaste, same with smooths bad aftertaste burning of the fingers, I haven't bled or anything yet and I've smoked alot of smooths, but I try to stick to No.9 even though there is alot of speculation about people thinking it's shit just because it was advertised toward the female population I love it. And then the Newport if I don't have my No.9s

I love these. They taste amazing. However they're not my favorite. I prefer newport menthols over these. I did have a friend who said smooths made his throat bleed though, but i don't care.

This cigarette sucks. if u smoke these u definetly arent hooked on smoking. why dont u just suck on a peppermint intead cuz thats what it tastes like. if u want to smoke a marlboro just smoke normal menthols. there definetly not as strong as the smooths. way to go PMusa u made another shitty cigarette. i don't know, i've been smoking for only 4 years (it may seem a long time to some but it really isn't compared to 30 yr old smokers) but anyway, i started smoking smoothes since this summer and i think they taste really good, but i do see some weird effects and have heard of the recalls on them but i hope they stay strong because i like them a lot, basically the only menthol boges i enjoy smoking =)

  I'm 16 and only smoke every so often because i play sports. I'm more of a dipper. But anyway, Smooths are my favorite cigarettes by far because they give you that cold, minty flavor. But I have heard that you get crystals that grow inside your lungs and throat that cause bleeding. Is this True?

[update] Smooths have been known to cause internal bleeding and as a side note, kids that steal their parents smokes should hardly be commenting on cigarettes.
Smooths have a really harsh menthol taste and they are hard to inhale when you aren't used to them. More of a peppermint flavor than a true menthol. They really don't have much smoke flavor to them, its all just strong menthol and they leave a bad aftertaste.

LOVE these cigs!!! But, my husband has been stationed in Germany.. and they are not selling them over here. It really sucks.. I cant even find them on base. I hope they get them over here soon.. my other cigs just dont taste the same after these smooths!

I love Marlboro smoothes!! But since they swelled my throat glands so bad to the point I could no longer move my neck, I had to give them up. Kool XLs are good for alternatives but would never measure up to the smooths taste.

Not bad but also not an Andies candies. Its peppermint taste is smooth but its not the first peppermint cig out there. In the late 70's to early 80's, Salem had a sister brand called BRIGHT and you actually smelled the pepperment on the smokers. Nat Sherman has a Touch of Mint which is similar. Its not likely that SMOOTH is going to be around for long. Most smokers are into the regular and lights flavors. Menthol is the alternative. Peppermint seems to be a fad of some sort every 2-3 decades. In the early 70s there was a brand called TWIST which had a lemon zest flavor. That brand sunk soon after its debut.

i personally have been smoking these for about 6 months now. i love the pepperminty taste (exactly like a york pattie). the only problem is, by the 4th cig in the pack, the taste is gone. and not to mention, over time, yu become practically immune to the taste and it becomes just a really strong, really bad for you, menthol cigarette. Also, i hate the fact that these cigs tend to burn your fingers before they're finished. the filter gets so hot is squashes on contact with my fingers! i heard they're taking them off the marker because of people coughing up blood. and to think i gave up newports for the same reason. well hopefully they'll come out again. STOP PUTTING FIBERGLASS IN THE FILTERS!

well i read the other comments and it seems that they are really bad for you but i LOVE them. the whole peppermint taste and the way they feel, its like your not even smoking a cig but tasting mint gum instead. i love this brand of cig and i hope hey never go away. i also love the blue green box color.

I had one of these and at first it was really strong, but in the end I loved it because it didn't leave a strong after taste and not a gross stench on my fingers, but I don't really care for menthols.

  Overall, I give this menthol a 3.5 stars. I actually do like this cigarette a lot, and I think that the smell off the Marb Smooths is pleasent. But there's a catch: I think it's just little too strong. I'll give it credit though, it never escapes your mind that your smoking a menthol cigarette, unlike Newports which are supposed to be menthols, but are really tarry, crude-oil soaked tobacco cancer-sticks.

But the reason I gave Smooths a 3.5 is because the menthol can get a little overwhelming. It should be a cool relaxing blunt, but at it's worst, it can feel like your inhaling razor-sharp icicles. Also my throut began to ache a little when I first tried these, so I waited a couple of days for my throut to heal, and then smoked some more (I wanted to get my money's worth after all). After half-way through the pack my throut got used to it, and the aches stopped.

One the plus side, I do like that it has plenty of flavor, has a nice peppermint aroma, and isn't nearly as tarry as Newports. But I prefer Kool a little to Smooths because they aren't as strong but not as weak as Newports. I guess could compare the two like soft drinks: Smooth being like an energy drink, while Kool is more like a regular soda.

finally in years i found the cig i was looking for. a smooth, menthol cigg that doesnt burn fast or leave a bad aftertaste. i love when i take one out of the pack i always smell the box and it smells like peperment york patties no lie it actually does. i get them buy one get one free or just 2 packs of them seperate. but i love these and am going to stick to these for ever

alrihgt... i'm cheap and these are buy one get one free. but they burn and make me cough- im a big menthol fan but these are a bit to much. def not a cig to chain smoke with- i cant smoke more than one within a 1/2 hour. i'll stick with the regular menthols

Good pack for rotations. i really do love these soo much, but after 2 packs im back to marlboro mentols or camel menthols. the taste gets to you after a while. when the pack is first opened it smells like those andes mints. i recently had my throat glands swell up really bad for a week and a half, can't remember if i had these before it though, makes me wonder if this is real...after my thoat was sore for the first day i stopped smoking completely b/c of the pain, and powerful antibiotics seemed to help so i am skeptic if thats the case.

Marlboro Smooths smell wonderful when the pack is opened; its basically like a box of chocolate mints. However, the smoke itself is a different story. The first half of the pack is okay, then the rest tastes like Windex cleaner. Also, these cigarettes cause inflimation of the lungs and throat way worse than traditional menthol cigarettes, due to the high amound of menthol oil in the tobacco. Use with caution!

I recently found out that these cause internal bleeding and there recalling them. Thats why its buy one get one free everywhere. They hurt my throat. And currently my lungs are hurting and I've only been smoking for 3 months. Please buy with caution

Great tasting cig, but they do tend to burn and kill your throat like others are sayin. If you smoke em for awhile they actually mess up your throat the worst outta all the cig brands i have smoked so far. Still a good cig and i still smoke em! HA! Thats addiction!!!

I've been smoking these for a while but lately, my throat is starting to feel awful. I've read up on them and I see that they cause your throat glands to swell, which makes total sense to my problems.

Does anyone have any suggestions as to what will give me the same taste with less harsh conditions?

my step dad owns a grocery store and the Marlboro guy was in there the other day hanging signs for the upcoming release of Marlboro smooth 100s. they're coming out soon. i originally started smoking newports, but after discovering Marlboro menthol, i quit smoking newports. now, i too smoke nothing but smooth. best cigarette i ever smoked.

I usually smoke Reds and Camel Lights Wides. I used to think that menthol was nasty. However after trying one of these things I must say that I am totally hooked. Awesome flavor good big draws, I think I'm going to smoke these for awhile now.

why dont marlboro smooths come in 100's i love them but would love then in 100's  please come out with 100's i plan on staying with these. but my reg. brand was 100's great new brand by the way. way to go marlboro

Great tasting cigarette but gave me heartburn so bad it felt like razors were cutting my throat. I'll go back to the Newports, thanks anyway.

Being a casual smoker I don't have a lot of experience with different kinds of cigarettes. These were buy one get one free at the Sunoco I work at, so I bought them on a whim. I love them! The pepperminty taste is great and they ARE indeed very smooth. No cough, no burn, no ass-mouth when I'm done with one. I'm going to try a different kind next time I buy, but these are definitely on my rotating list now!

They sure are smooth. They aren't big on a mint taste, but they are big cool mint burn. Not bad, but they make me a little queasy at first.
