As a NY Met Fan I think the Cleveland Indians have a great shot. They have come up as of late, there hitting well pitching well and they seem the hungriest of all.

My pick for the AL Champs. Hafner is one helluva hitter. Wish he was still in Texas. If the staff stays healthy and Hafner keeps his hitting going, they'll be a great pick for the postseason.

I thought they were the team to beat in the AL last year, but boy was I wrong. I think they underachieved, and that they might win the wild card with the Twins taking a step back and some uncertainty among the AL East teams. However, they aren't quite proven enough for me to predict them heading to the playoffs. Grady Sizemore is a great young player to watch, and I think C.C. Sabathia doesn't get enough credit for how he pitches.

Much improved pitching, to go with all that offence should work well in their favor. If they gel, this could be the team to beat in the AL.

If the pitching is better than last year, it's possible.

Probably a 2.5. One of the hardest teams to make a decent guess at how they'll do- they were a chic pick last year but had a bad year. There are some fine young players on this team and a decent rotation. However, some of the youngsters took a step back last year, and the bullpen is at best a question mark. I suppose they could win anywhere from 75-90 games, but didn't do all that much in the offseason and have a fairly long shot at the playoffs, as the White Sox, Tigers, and Twins also play in a division that's arguably the deepest in the game.
