The Marlins have a handful of young offensive stars, but I don't think they will have the pitching to contend in a very competitive NL East. The Phillies and Mets seem to be more talented than the rest of the pack, but I see the Braves and Marlins having to settle for 3rd and 4th in this division.

Florida has a lot of young talent: last year, most fans felt that they were going to be awful but they actually had a pretty good year. The team is so youthful that I think they'll be a little bit worse- there just isn't a lot of veterans on the club to help out, and I think they'll take a step back, kind of like Cleveland did last year. Of course, they could be surprisingly good, but I think it'll be a dogfight between the Mets and Phillies for that division, and you can never totally count out Atlanta- though they're not the force that they were for a long time. Florida may break .500 and should be demonstrably better than Washington.

Not likely to win a lot of games in a tough division with the Braves, Mets and Phils.
