If they Pads are able to hold off the Rockies and the Phils to make it in, they could be tough. Any team that can throw Peavy and Chris Young at you in a seven game series can be nasty. Offensively, they are going to struggle without Bradley, but with this caliber of pitchers, they don't have to do much.

They're going to have to win at least two and maybe three out of four from a tough Brewers team to get in though - that's no gimme.

The Padres could possibly contend for the N.L. West crown. They don't have a lot of thump in their lineup and their rotation is merely fairly decent as a whole, and some of their best pitchers are old. Still, they probably have the best shot to make the playoffs from their division after L.A. I can see it either way: they could win this division with a low total of wins, say, 83 or something- or they could be pretty bad.
