There's school or babysitters for that kind of thing -- take advantage...

Brats and other whiners (i.e., adults) are never welcome in long lines, restaurants, movie theaters or elevators. What's even more irritating is to hear parents try to reason, cajole and compromise with kids under the age of five. Dodydoh! Makes me wonder how they figured out how to reproduce in the first place.

Whiny, crying, yelling, screaming, nose picking brats I hate. Well mannered and behaving kids I don't mind. I'd like to slap the parents of the brats because it's their fault their kids are like they are.

I understand that in some cases for a single mother, this cannot be avoided. But when I see a mom and dad (and this goes for anywhere, not just DMV), and the kids are running amok, screaming, fighting and just annoying the hell out of everyone, and the parents could care less, I just want to smack someone. This is rude AND crude. I would give it a five but I'm allowing for the single mother.

. . . they're no more annoying than the whiny, crying adults that are already there. I don't get these folks. You know you're going to be there all damn day. You know you're going to have to wait in more than one line. It's not like it's a big secret. And it's not like whining is going to make a difference, except to annoy everyone else all the more. Bring a book, bring a snack, bring a drink and suck it up.

It happens to almost any parent. While the mom/dad/legal guardian/etc. is filling out paperwork, the kids find the urge to run around the area, screaming and annoying the heck out of the people at the DMV who are already POed to begin with.
