Boo. Thumbs down. Phone + plus someone who doesn't know how to drive in the first place = disaster

Well I can't, since I'm one of those crazy people who drives a six-speed by choice, and I need both hands. Besides it gives me an excuse not to have to answer the damn thing.

This is not only tacky but dangerous! There should be laws passed against this!

I hate to see this behavior alone, but it's usually accompanied by a coffe in the other hand or between the knees, and a conversation going on with the passenger too. People don't usually stick to a single distraction, they want a handful at once.

I can't tell you how many times I have almost been hit by people talking on their cell phones! Does anyone remember when you had to wait until you got home to get a call or make a call? I do! I also remember having to write down messages for the others in my house because we didn't have an answering machine! Not such a bad time in our history. However, I do have to admit that due to todays society and the number of people who have to stay in constant communication with their offices, some talking and driving does have to happen. But, most of those people use the "hands-free" devices which does make it somewhat safer for the rest of us.

Hypocrisy. Everyone claims to hate it- all I see is a high percentage of people doing it. . .my job requires constant communication and I have to do it- if I'm not on the job then they replace me with someone who is- I don't like it, but I have to do it. . .spare me your stares on the highway, capitalism is a bitch who must be paid. . .

very annoying. what is so important of a phone call it can not wait. most of those calls can wait. it is very dangerous. talking on the phone while driving is a distraction and considering one of the biggest reasons for accidents is distractions this is maddening. some people are so self absorbed .

Long ago I lost count of the multitude of idiots who nearly caused me an accident while gabbing away on their cell phone blissfully ignorant of the road and drivers around them.Worse yet, some people are also dialing and text messaging while attempting to navigate their now deadly behomoth through traffic at high speeds.

Should be shot. Then beaten. Then given a ticket.
