They don't exist because they aren't mentioned in the Bible.

Internet trolls move in and inhabit any successful site. The smart thing to do is ignore them, because they feed off of your attention. Positive or negative, it makes no difference.

Better to have them here than out in the streets looking for children to molest...Ya, that means you shithead.

An unhelpful, an anonymous one star rating. *yawns* that nice.

Trolls aren't only found here in RIA. They exist in the real world as that sourpuss in the corner who looks to share his bad attitude with the world and drag other people down as his way of feeling good about himself. A more positive level of self-esteem would go a long ways to helping them out, but only if they want it.

I don't really think I care who gave me a one. I wouldn't be shocked to see the list, I'm sure, since I've got most of my "fans" identified...

An example of a troll is someone who leaves 3,000 comments, but has 30,000 reviews.

It comes with the territory, we all get one or more sooner or later. It doesn't really bother me too much, after all, it's supposed to be an opinion network, and people butt heads over dog food and the best brand of mayonnaise here...

Like Flick, I have one, and also like Flick I know who it is, and it is a long time reviewer.

This individual took a dislike to me some time ago (which is fine, I don't care much for them either) and now, everytime they show up on line all my recent comments get marked unhelpful.

It doesn't irritate me much, but I am surprised at the persistence of this pathetic soul.

I reckon that if you have been here a while, and have taken a stand or maybe shot a few sacred cows, you are going to gain trolls.

I know who both my trolls are and it would surprise many old timers to learn they are both long time originals who were well establish reviewers before I joined the site. One became a troll as a result of a disagreement and in my correspondence, which I always kept polite, I made the mistake of including a link to a website which verified my position. The second one is a mystery to me as to why that person took on the task of rating everything I write as unhelpful. In one instance this person even sent a reply to one of my reviews where they agreed with what I had written, yet still marked it as unhelpful. There are some post that simply do not warrant an unhelpful vote and to see something like 10 helpfuls and one lone unhelpful only serves to makes the troll look foolish. So to my two trolls on RIA: I know who you are. You both post good solid common sense reviews and comments, and I would have expected better from you. I am disappointed but at my age and with my life experience, I am not surprised.
