How funny. I do know some mushers but not to get around...great way to condition a lot of dogs at once! Plus I lie in the boonies so it isn't practical either

The way I'd see this would be on a sliding scale.
Towed by pack of pekinese--foolish looking and tough on the dog.
Towed by a Shepherd or Husky -- good exercise for the dog.
Towed by a pack of seven Border Collies -- the dogs would love it, and the skater is about to experience life threatening road rash.

What's the big deal? Dogs were one of the first work animals. It's only in the last few hundred years that people have felt the need to treat them better they treat other people.

I just about fell out of my chair when I saw this . . . I REALLY hope this is a joke . . . This company (http://www.dogpoweredscooter.com/) has a scooter where you can harness your dog and make him/her drag your lazy ass around town. I think I would smack someone if I saw them do this to their dog.
