(This is a partial re-post of a comment I left under one of EO's comments, but I'm hoping for a response from someone who can clarify this).
There had been a few assertions on here that this "documentary" is required viewing for students in the US; of what I do know of the film, it is definately more point of view rather than solid science (definately in the "fear mongering" category, regardless of point of view. The way that it's presented is not suitable for an educational setting).
I have found that it has become required in OTHER countries in Europe for viewing (
