Now this makes sense. Only pollution resulting from US manufacturing and industry is bad for the environment and causes "global warming". Chinese and Indian pollution on the other hand...LOL! And some people still swallow this garbage, while denying that it is leftist political propoganda.

"China won't do it- so we won't do it" is the most pre-school and unarticulate thing I've heard since, well, anything dubya has ever said about the war. . .we don't like it because it's bad for business and that is more important than environmental concerns. . .ask anyone who's travelled to Beijing and ask about the smell, pollution, and the black snot that shoots out of your nose after 3 days because it isn't just a quality-of-life issue it's a health issue. . .but this is a business decision and nothing more- don't give me any shite about "we won't do it because they won't do it" - it just makes us look dumber to the world. . .

China gets a pass because it is an under-developed country. they are building a coal-fired power plant every week. And they will continue to build one every week for the forseeable future. Their "carbon footprint" is projected, by the global warming "experts", to exceed that of the United States by 2010. Yet they have zero constraints on their contribution to greenhouse gases in the Kyoto Protocol as it is written. Zero. It looks like Kyoto was written to derail the US economy. Maybe it looks that way to me because I don't know very much.
