I like the return the poop idea others have mentioned - seems very fair. I'm not sure I'd go to the trouble. I did once take my own dog by an offending neighbors house and allowed him to unload on their sidewalk. Whatever you revenge you select - never blame a dog for the stupidity of its human.

I can only imagine being completely upset with that neighbor, but I have always lived in the boonies and never really had close neighbors.

I think I've said something on this issue before. It is very aggrivating. I don't know how they would set this in place, but maybe there should be some kind of a fine. Maybe it would stop.

I was talking with this woman at work once about a problem she had about neighborly dogs crapping in their yard. She said her husband bagged the crap, took it to the dog owners house, and handed it to them!

I am normally right there with my arms on the sides trying to be as charming as possible.

Put the poop in a plastic baggie. Wait until the person who walks the dog is not home. Ring their doorbell and say to whoever answers "Hi! Your husband (or wife, or child, as the case may be) was walking your dog on my property yesterday and I saw he dropped this. Thought you'd like to have it back." If the person who answers the door gives you a hard time leave the package on their property but unlike the dog, you have the option of leaving it in a more "strategic" location.

This really does bug me, but my irritation pales in comparison to my wife. This is her pet peeve. She is like a mama grizzly bear protecting her cub, when it comes to protecting her yard. In this case, even I fear her. I pity the poor fool that stumbles into her territory. Most of the folks that walk their dogs know her, and are friendly with her, but they always seem to say hello from the other side of the street.

Use a B-B gun....and not for the dog.

This is a big one! Especially since I don't have a dog anymore! I like to walk through my yard with no shoes and to get dog poop on my feet just grosses me out!
